SOOOO, I had the lucky experience of being able to attend Wicked last Wednesday which, let me tell you, was THE most amazing thing ever. Between the beautiful colouring, falsettos that gave you goosebumps and Fiyero’s dashing smile, I was in awe!

The beautiful day was started off with a spot of lunch in an absolute gem of a place called Giraffe. This unique, little restaurant was located on Wilton street, just 2 minutes from Victoria station and oh how wonderful it was. The restaurant specialises in cuisine from Ecuador and my, my were the flavours bursting in every mouthful. I opted for their BBQ enchiladas which were positively divine.

DON’T THEY LOOK AMAZING?? I just had to finish up the beautiful meal with crispy hot churros and some melted chocolate sauce which, made me die and go to heaven. I definitely recommend this place if you want somewhere that isn’t swarmed with tourists or people in business suits.

Once we had bought our tickets from the box ofgive, we piled into the tiny hall of the Apollo Victoria Theatre before the show had started. I couldn’t contain my excitement while browsing the merch store ((I wanted the socks so bad)). I got even more overwhelmed when we had entered the theatre and I saw how close we actually were to the stage. THE VIEW WAS AMAZING!

This was going to be my first musical and although I had heard amazing things about Wicked I didn’t know what to expect, and let me tell you they smashed every expectation I had and blew me out of the water. As soon as it started and the stage was revealed. I could feel a lump in my throat and I was definitely about to sob….had I not been surrounded by people. I fell in love with every aspect of it and every detail, big or small. THE ACTORS DID A HECK OF A JOB.

FIYERO OH FIYERO, HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE HIM?? I won’t spoil it too much but for anyone who has seen it…you know what I’m talking about right? Right.

All in all, it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen and it gave me these new feelings that I hope to feel many more times in the future. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS MUSICAL OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND HOPE THIS WAS NOT A ONE TIME EXPERIENCE. If you have not yet seen Wicked, you need to see it asap as it will change your life!
